Gold prices in Pakistan fell for the second consecutive day on Wednesday, reflecting a drop in international rates. In the local market, the price per tola decreased by Rs1,400, bringing it to Rs260,100.
The price for 10 grams of gold was reported at Rs222,994, down by Rs1,200, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Tuesday, the gold price had already decreased by Rs1,000, settling at Rs261,500.
In addition, the international gold rate also fell on Wednesday, with APGJSA reporting it at $2,481 per ounce (plus a $20 premium), a drop of $17 for the day.
Silver prices also saw a decline of Rs50, now priced at Rs2,900 per tola.
Two weeks ago, the price of gold per tola stood at Rs257,400, a decrease of Rs300 from the previous day.
Last month, gold prices were Rs251,000 per tola in Pakistan.
