Rain in Chilas has created a flood situation in Gilgit-Baltistan, leading to landslides that have blocked the Karakoram Highway at Lala Pari in the Gilgit section.
According to reports, the closure of the Karakoram Highway at Lala Pari has severed the land connection between Chilas and Gilgit.
A large number of tourists and travelers have been stranded for several hours, and FWO machinery is actively working on road restoration.
