Congressman Tom Suozzi has been named the new Chairman of the Pakistan Caucus in the U.S. Congress, succeeding the late Sheila Jackson Lee.
Suozzi expressed his commitment to enhancing bilateral relations between the United States and Pakistan.
Following his appointment, Suozzi met with Democratic leader Dr. Asif Riaz Qadeer and community leader Tanveer Ahmed, who extended an invitation for him to visit Pakistan.
Suozzi accepted the invitation and plans to travel to Pakistan in November.

The late Sheila Jackson Lee, who founded the Pakistan Caucus, was recognized for her support during natural disasters in Pakistan and was honored with the Hilal-e-Pakistan award.
Suozzi, a Congressman from New York since 2017, aims to continue her legacy of advocacy for Pakistan.
