Imran Maniar has stepped down from his role as chief executive officer and managing director of Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) to explore new opportunities.
The announcement was made in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the board of directors of SSGC convened an emergency meeting on September 2, to discuss Maniar’s resignation.
“The board respectfully accepted Maniar’s decision to pursue other opportunities,” the statement noted. “Maniar’s final day with the company would be September 13, 2024.”
According to information on SSGC’s website, Maniar is a experienced professional with over 30 years of expertise in managing and advising private equity firms and corporations in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, capital market transactions, logistics, and oil field services.
Prior to his tenure at SSGC, Maniar served as chief financial officer (CFO) for several organisations, including Marquard and Bahls AG, GL Noble Denton, and Eagle Ford Oil and Gas. He also held key positions such as Manager of Strategic Planning at Boardwalk Pipeline Partners, Partner at Millennium Ventures LLC, and Analyst at Solvay.
