A teenage boy in Sargodha has been arrested for fatally shooting his classmate after a heated argument over WhatsApp.

The victim, Husnain Ali, was the son of Sajid Ali, a truck mechanic residing in the Zafar Colony area of Sargodha. Husnain and the accused, Mesum Shah, were classmates and frequently communicated via WhatsApp messages and calls.

According to police, a heated exchange recently occurred between the two during a WhatsApp conversation.

Seeking revenge, Mesum Shah retrieved a pistol from his home and went to Husnain Ali’s residence, where he shot and killed him before fleeing the scene.

The Urban Area Police Station has registered a case against the accused, Mesum Shah, and his father.
