A comprehensive security plan has been implemented for the 981st Urs of Hazrat Ali Hajvairi, Data Ganj Bakhsh, in Lahore.
Lahore Police have deployed over 4,000 officials, including 6 SPs and 22 DSPs, to ensure the safety of the annual event.
Female police officers are also deployed to conduct security checks on women visitors. Additionally, 81 roadblocks, nine checkpoints, and 12 walk-through gates have been set up.
CCPO Lahore, Bilal Siddique Kamyana, assured that full security measures are in place for visitors arriving from across the country.
He emphasized that thorough searches will be conducted before entry to the Data Darbar, and security will be on high alert at all entry and exit points of the city. Senior police officials will remain in constant communication with the Darbar’s administrators.
The CCPO instructed officers to pay special attention to security during the distribution of milk and langar (free food).
He also directed officers to prevent parking of vehicles and motorcycles outside designated parking areas and to maintain close surveillance on suspicious individuals.
