The CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg has installed a large sculpture of his wife, Priscilla Chan, in the backyard of their home.
Zuckerberg shared a photo on Instagram on August 13, stating that he was reviving the “Roman traditions of making sculptures of your wife.”
The sculpture was created by renowned New York City-based artist Daniel Arsham, who is known for his unique style that blends elements of architecture, sculpture, and performance art.
The statue bears a striking resemblance to some of Arsham’s recent bronze works, featuring a Tiffany green patina.
“Bringing back the Roman tradition of making sculptures of your wife. Thanks @danielarsham,” the caption of the post reads.
Social media users have expressed admiration for Zuckerberg’s gesture of commissioning such a significant piece of art as a tribute to his wife.
One social media user said: “Get yourself a man who makes sculptures of you,” while others wrote: “This is next level. Love the matching mug.”
