The flow of well-wishers visiting the home of national hero Arshad Nadeem, who achieved the feat of winning a gold medal for Pakistan after 40 years at the Paris Olympics 2024, is continuing on the second day of his home coming.
In a special interview with Aaj News, national hero Arshad Nadeem expressed his resolve to bring more happiness to the nation.
Arshad Nadeem arrived at Lahore Airport at 1:25 am after a late-night foreign flight, where he was given a warm welcome by Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Minister of State Shazia Fatima, Chairman of PM Youth Program Rana Mashood, Provincial Minister Uzma Bukhari, and Khawaja Saad Rafique, among other dignitaries.
Arshad Nadeem’s father was also present in the airport state lounge. Upon seeing his son, he immediately kissed him and tightly hugged him. The father became emotional during the reception of his son, while Arshad Nadeem’s eyes also appeared moist. Garlands of flowers were also placed on him.
After that, the national hero Arshad Nadeem reached his ancestral village of Mian Channu in a convoy, where he received an enthusiastic welcome.
The entire village turned up to welcome the national hero. Flower petals and currency notes were showered, and celebrations erupted in Arshad Nadeem’s village.
The citizens danced to the beats of the dhol and also displayed fireworks, while the air reverberated with chants of “Long Live Arshad Nadeem.”
Emotional scenes were witnessed when gold medalist Arshad Nadeem reached his home. His mother embraced the great son with joy, and Arshad Nadeem was moved to tears after meeting his mother.
Tears also welled up in the eyes of onlookers, and dear relatives and women showered flower petals, put garlands around his neck and congratulated him with embraces.
It should be noted that in the javelin throw competitions at the Paris Olympics, Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan made history by throwing a record-breaking 92.97 meters, winning the gold medal for Pakistan after 40 years.
Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan could not make the first throw correctly and it was declared a foul. In the third round, Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan threw 88.72 meters, while Jakub Vadlejch of the Czech Republic threw 88.50 meters.

In the fourth throw, Arshad Nadeem threw the javelin 79.40 meters away. When he took the fifth throw, the javelin went a distance of 84.87 meters.
In the sixth and final round, Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan made the second-best throw of the competition, throwing the javelin 91.79 meters away, also setting the record for the second-best throw in Olympic history.
