The hefty salaries being paid to each member of the National Assembly have finally been revealed.
Each MNA receives a basic monthly salary of Rs150,000, supplemented by additional allowances totaling Rs38,000, bringing their total monthly income to Rs188,000.
Chairpersons of Standing Committees receive an additional honorary allowance of Rs25,000, boosting their monthly income to Rs213,000.
Furthermore, MNAs are entitled to a per diem of Rs 8,800 for attending each session of the National Assembly or Standing Committee.
Generous travel benefits being enjoyed by MNAs have also been revea;ed. They receive Rs150 per kilometer for air travel in business class and Rs25 per kilometer for road travel.
Annually, each MNA receives travel vouchers worth Rs300,000, a cash allowance of Rs90,000, and 30 business class open tickets.
