The R-rated superhero movie “Deadpool & Wolverine” is being hailed as “bloody fun” and a “step in the right direction” for Marvel after a tough year.
The movie, which marks the official debut of the characters in the MCU, is projected to earn a whopping $165 million in its opening weekend - the biggest debut of 2024 so far and a new record for the highest opening ever for an R-rated film.
“‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ is a game changer for the MCU,” wrote Sean Tajipour of Nerdtropolis. “Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are the ultimate duo we’ve all been waiting for!”
Critics are praising the film’s over-the-top action, comedic tone, and the chemistry between Reynolds and Jackman, who is making his long-awaited return as Wolverine.
Despite some flaws, the overall consensus is that “Deadpool & Wolverine” delivers a thrilling theatrical experience that could help Marvel bounce back after recent disappointments.

With positive reviews and massive box office projections, “Deadpool & Wolverine” is poised to be a major success for Marvel when it premieres in theaters across the country on July 26.
