Karachi is once again experiencing a spell of rain, with light to heavy showers reported across various parts of the city.
The Meteorological Department had predicted light to heavy rainfall for today, and the showers have indeed materialized.
The downpour has brought much-needed relief from the scorching heat, with heavy showers reported in areas like Landhi, Korangi, Shah Faisal, Malir, Airport, Sohrab Goth, Safoora Chowrangi, Gulshan Iqbal, University Road, and Gulshan-e-Johar, along with surrounding areas. Rain has also been observed in Shahrah-e-Faisal, Sarjani Town, and F.B. Area.
The Met Office predicts that the rain-bearing clouds could spread to the western and central districts of the city.
The weather forecast for Karachi indicates partly cloudy skies with a possibility of light showers accompanied by thunder. The temperature is expected to reach 38 degrees Celsius today.
The current temperature in Karachi is 34 degrees Celsius, with a heat index of 42 degrees Celsius. Winds are blowing from the northwest at 7 kilometers per hour, with humidity levels at 70%.
The Meteorological Department forecasts that the weather will remain hot and humid for the next 24 hours.
