The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced that the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) exam will be conducted on Sunday, September 22, 2024.
This exam will be held in Pakistan as well as abroad.
The council has stated that the MDCAT syllabus will be uploaded on the PMDC website next week, and the registration portal will also be opened for students to register, deciding not to change the syllabus from the previous year, to provide continuity and consistency for the students.
Last year, approximately 180,534 students appeared for the MDCAT exam. It is estimated that around 200,000 students are likely to sit for the exam this year.
The council has stated that the difficulty level of the MDCAT paper will be considered to ensure ease for the students, without compromising the merit-based admission process, Business Recorder reported.
The President of the PMDC, Professor Dr. Rizwan Taj, has confirmed that the MDCAT-2024 will be a paper-based exam, conducted on a single day through provincial public admitting universities, under the supervision of the PM&DC.
He emphasized that the students’ bright future is the top priority, and the council is working diligently to facilitate them.
Professor Taj has directed all the universities that will be conducting the exams to strictly adhere to the guidelines and regulations to ensure fairness and transparency in the admission process.
He stated that the the schedule, registration process, and other information will be announced in the coming days.
