In light of the decision in the reserved seats case by a larger bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, members of the National Assembly belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf have begun submitting affidavits affirming their affiliation with the party.
According to a report by Urdu News, the affidavits are being submitted to the party secretariat and will be submitted to the Election Commission of Pakistan on Monday.
The report added that a majority of lawmakers have already submitted their affidavits.
Shaheryar Afridi, Mian Azhar, Jamshed Dasti, Ali Raza Gilani, Ahmed Chattha, Rana Bilal Aijaz and Usama Hamza are among the prominent leaders who have submitted their affidavits.

The party has instructed all lawmakers to ensure their certificates are submitted by Sunday.
In a short order in the reserved seats case, a majority of eight members out of thirteen had instructed the ECP to allow 41 PTI lawmakers to submit notarized statements regarding their party affiliation.
