The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided not to grant a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to fast bowler Naseem Shah, allowing him to participate in the ‘The Hundred’ league.
It is learnt that Naseem Shah had signed a contract with Birmingham Phoenix for the ‘The Hundred’ league. However, Naseem Shah had also faced injury issues during the previous edition of the league.
The PCB’s decision to withhold the NOC is aimed at protecting Naseem Shah from injuries and managing his workload.
Naseem Shah is considered an important bowler for Pakistan’s Test format, and the team has an upcoming home series against Bangladesh next month.
