Pakistan’s security forces have conducted a staggering 22,714 intelligence-based operations this year, according to security officials. The officials also revealed that 217 terrorists have been convicted by courts in the country.
Addressing concerns about smuggling, security officials stated that they had proposed the establishment of a Land Port Authority years ago to curb the issue. However, the authority has not been established, creating challenges in tackling smuggling.
Officials emphasized the need to eliminate smuggling for economic growth, assuring that the Pakistan Army will continue to combat smuggling at the borders.
Regarding the Kashmir issue, security officials reiterated that Kashmir is an integral part of Pakistan and the country’s lifeline.
They expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people, who they claim desire freedom from Indian rule. They also expressed that Pakistan would continue moral and diplomatic support for the people of Kashmir.
