A judicial magistrate in South Karachi has granted police remand for the suspect in the murder of a software company CEO.
The suspect, identified as Shoaib, allegedly killed the CEO, Naveed, over unpaid salary.
Police presented Shoaib before the local court, where he stated that he worked as a software engineer for the company and had not received his salary for three months.
During the hearing, Shoaib claimed that he was discussing the salary issue with Naveed when he felt the CEO was mocking him.
In a fit of rage, he grabbed a knife from the kitchen and confronted Naveed again. When Naveed’s tone remained sarcastic, Shoaib stabbed him.
