Karachi remains cloudy today, light drizzle in several areas

Karachi’s intense heat subsided after a drizzle in several areas of the city on Wednesday night. Clouds continued to cover the city on Thursday morning.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department had said yesterday that there could be drizzle and light rain in the city today (Thursday).

The maximum temperature to be recorded in Karachi is 37 degrees Celsius, PMD reported with 43 degrees Celsius in Mohenjo-Daro and Sukkur.

The weather is mixed in most parts of the country. Some areas are experiencing intense heat, while others are receiving rainfall. In addition to Qasur and its adjoining areas, some parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa bordering Punjab have also received light rain, which has eased the heat.

According to the PMD, there is rainfall, wind and thunderstorms are expected in the northern and central regions of Punjab, the Pothohar area, Islamabad, Kashmir, the upper parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and northeastern Balochistan.

The heat intensity remains in all provinces as areas such as Sibi, Zhob, Quetta, other parts of Balochistan, Nawabshah, Larkana, Badin, and many other cities of Sindh experience hot weather.
