Pakistan cricket captain Babar Azam has issued a defamation notice to anchor Mubasher Luqman for allegedly making false accusations against him and his family.
According to sources, Luqman had made a series of accusations on social media against Azam, prompting the captain to send a Rs1 billion defamation notice through his lawyers.
The notice demands an apology from Luqman for the false accusations, including allegations of match-fixing, and warns of legal action if the apology is not forthcoming.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s assistant coach, Azhar Mahmood, has also reacted to the wave of accusations on social media following the team’s disappointing performance at the ICC T20 World Cup.
