One of the four brothers was killed in a violent altercation over the distribution of sacrificial meat in the Shawai area of Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.

According to the police, the deceased, Nawaz, injured his brother Asad and father Rafiq after a knife attack. In retaliation, Asad opened fire, killing Nawaz.

DSP Syed Ishtiaaq Gillani stated that the body had been shifted to the hospital for post-mortem examination and efforts are under way to arrest the accused.

“The actual facts will emerge once the investigation and the arrest of the suspect are completed,” DSP Gillani said.
