Man who robbed Karachi pan shop turns out to be DSP’s son

A shocking revelation has emerged in the robbery of a pan shop in Karachi’s Gulshan Iqbal area, with the perpetrator identified as the son of a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).

The DSP and his son have been taken into custody and are being held at an undisclosed location.

Police officials have confirmed that the DSP and his son are under investigation. They assure the public that the facts surrounding the robbery of the pan cabin will be revealed soon.

The incident came to light after CCTV footage of the robbery surfaced, showing masked individuals in plain clothes arriving at the pan shop in a police mobile vehicle and looting the establishment.

The police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the perpetrators under robbery charges based on the complaint filed by the pan shop owner, Shahzeb Mughal.

According to the FIR, Shahzeb Mughal stated that on June 2, three individuals in plain clothes robbed his shop, “Five Star Pan Shop,” of Rs7,000.

On June 12, at 11 pm, three individuals in plain clothes arrived in a police mobile and robbed him of Rs. 15,000 in cash and cigarettes worth Rs. 50,000. He was then forced into the police mobile.

He further stated that he was taken to Gulshan Chowrangi where the individuals stole Rs. 10,000 from his pocket, assaulted him, and left him by the roadside before fleeing.
