At least four people were killed and four injured when a jeep plunged into a deep ravine in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Shangla on Monday, rescue officials said.
The incident took place in the Bartkot area of the district, where the ill-fated jeep veered off the road and fell into the deep gorge.
Rescue teams and local residents rushed to the scene and began the recovery effort, working to retrieve the bodies from the ravine. The injured individuals have been shifted to the Saidu Sharif Hospital in the nearby city of Mingora for medical treatment.
Initial reports said the accident was caused by a brake failure on the vehicle.
