Former AJK PM’s two sons, nine others arrested

Former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas’ two sons, one relative, and four drivers have been arrested in the federal capital of Islamabad.

A case has been registered against the accused for issuing serious threats.

The Margalla police acted on the report filed by a resident of Orchard Lane Scheme, Murree Road, Islamabad Shehraz Khan.

According to the FIR, Sardar Afif Sagar, Sardar Umar Tanveer, Sardar Usman Tanveer, Sardar Osama Tanveer, and Sardar Ahmed Tanveer, along with 15-20 of their associates, were recklessly driving their vehicles and blocking the road beyond Jinnah Avenue.

The complainant stated that as soon as he managed to get his vehicle ahead, the aforementioned individuals stopped him and threatened to kill him. They also caused damage to his vehicle.

During the operation, the police also seized 5 vehicles that had police lights installed on them.

The complainant was traveling from Faisal Avenue towards F-10 late at night when he encountered a convoy of 15-20 vehicles that were blocking the road.

The police have registered a case against the accused, including charges for issuing serious threats.

Islamabad police have stated that weapons with ammunition and the vehicles in use were recovered from the possession of the accused. However, there is no truth to the reports of the arrest of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas.
