The Anti-Terrorism Court in Muzaffarabad has denied bail to poet Ahmad Farhad, who was arrested on charges of posting inflammatory and hate-mongering content against institutions on social media.
The court had reserved its judgment on Farhad’s bail plea yesterday after hearing arguments from both sides.
Farhad is accused of sharing provocative content on his social media accounts. It is worth noting that the court had previously ordered a medical examination of Farhad three days ago, suspecting slow poisoning.
The federal government had announced Farhad’s arrest on May 29th, 15 days after he went missing from Islamabad.
