Actress Sophia Bush celebrated her first Pride Month with her new girlfriend, former soccer star Ashlyn Harris.
Bush reposted a message on her Instagram Story that emphasized the importance of pride, writing “Pride is important because someone tonight still believes they’re better off dead than being themselves.”
Bush added her own words of encouragement, telling her followers “You are perfect. No matter how long it might take, you’ll find your people.
They will help you find more and more of yourself. It’s worth it. You’re worth it.“ She also shared a makeup-free photo of herself wearing a rainbow-colored robe, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community.
The “One Tree Hill” alum came out as queer in April, just six months after her relationship with Harris was confirmed by Page Six in October 2023.

Bush explained that she “didn’t expect to find love” with the former soccer player while going through her divorce from ex-husband Grant Hughes, whom she had been married to for a year.
Bush and Harris initially met in 2019 and reportedly “bonded over their breakups” while attending the Cannes Lions Festival in France last summer.
An insider told Us Weekly that the pair had “instant chemistry.” Harris, who was previously married to Ali Krieger, publicly supported Bush earlier this year after she came out.
Recently, Bush shut down engagement rumors following the couple’s PDA-packed getaway to Paris, continuing to celebrate their budding romance and Bush’s journey of self-discovery during Pride Month.
