Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant jump on Wednesday, mirroring a surge in the international market. After a decline in the previous session, the local gold price per tola climbed by Rs2,400 to reach Rs242,700.
The 10-gram gold price also saw an increase of Rs2,058, settling at Rs208,076, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The international gold rate rose on Wednesday, reaching $2,352 per ounce (with a premium of $20) after a $13 increase during the day.
In line with the gold price increase, silver rates also saw a gain of Rs100, reaching Rs2,900 per tola.
Last month, gold prices in Pakistan reached an all-time high of Rs252,200 per tola.
