Jacobabad’s hot weather prompts Aussie couple to abandon vintage car

Australian travel couple Lang and Bev Kidby abandoned their 102-year-old car to continue travelling in Sindh’s Jacobabad due to sweltering hot weather.

To make their journey memorable, Lang and Bev Kidby settled for a 1922 model car model to continue the leftover journey.

However, during their visit to the city, also known as the hottest city on earth, the heat became so intense that the couple became exhausted and unwell.

They had arrived in Quetta, seeing remarkable places and witnessing the beautiful mountain scenery and landscapes of Balochistan.

The duo entered Pakistan through the Taftan border on May 23. The couple has been travelling the world together in the 102-year-old car for 40 years.

The couple loaded the open car on a truck and sent it to Lahore and they would leave for the city on a normal car, according to the coordinator. Moreover, Lang and Bev will reach India through the Wagah Border.
