Inter board asks govt to delay exams by 4 days

The chairman of the Inter Board has requested the education minister to allow for the postponement of the Intermediate examinations in Karachi by four days.

Chairman of the Intermediate Board Naseem Memon has clarified that the holding of Intermediate exams from May 28th is not possible, and they can only commence from June 1st.

It is worth noting that the Matric exams had previously been postponed due to the intense heatwave.

Naseem Memon further revealed that 21 higher secondary schools had been designated as examination centers for the Inter exams, with the plan to hold the Inter exams in the morning and the Matric exams in the evening at these uniform examination centers.

He mentioned that the postponed Matric papers will now be conducted at the same 21 centers from May 28th, as it is not possible to have both Boards’ exams running concurrently at these centers.

Naseem Memon informed that a meeting has been called today, involving the Education Minister, Boards, and Universities, where the Matric Board Chairman will also be present. The aim is to sit together and find a solution to this issue.
