KP govt approaches SC for live streaming of NAB case

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has submitted a request to the Supreme Court for the live broadcast of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) trial proceedings.

The application, filed by Additional Advocate General Syed Kausar Ali Shah, seeks permission to livestream the NAB trial proceedings for the sake of public interest.

In the request, the KP government has asserted that the hearings of cases concerning public welfare should be livestreamed from the bench.

It highlights that the live streaming of NAB trial proceedings is not being conducted, which is considered a discriminatory practice.

The application appeals for an order to be issued for the direct broadcast of NAB trial proceedings.
