Toronto-bound PIA flight stops in Karachi after technical fault

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Islamabad to Toronto was diverted to Karachi due to a technical malfunction, and the aircraft is expected to land in Karachi three hours later.

A spokesperson for PIA stated that the technical issue in flight PK 781 was of a minor nature. However, the captain decided to divert the flight to Karachi and prioritize returning instead of continuing the long-haul journey over the ocean.

They explained that the decision to redirect the plane to Karachi was made based on engineering assessments, ensuring better arrangements and the availability of necessary components.

Upon the flight’s arrival in Karachi, all necessary measures have been taken to receive and assist the passengers, including arranging accommodation for them at the airport hotel.
