Pakistan Muslim League-Zia (PML-Z) leader Ijaz-ul-Haq has claimed that apart from Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Imran Khan, every leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) currently outside of jail is in contact with the establishment.
During a conversation on the talk show “Rubaroo” on Aaj News, Ijaz-ul-Haq stated that it is not possible that the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa does not have contact with the establishment, or that important personalities like him do not have contact.
“Directly or indirectly, everyone has connections with both the establishment and the government.”
Ijaz-ul-Haq further added that if negotiations take place with the establishment, then those negotiations can only take place when the government directly requests the establishment to make the path smooth.
Haq added that the institution’s role would have to be neutral.
He added that when Imran Khan decides in his mind that he has to move forward and hold negotiations, then the paths will automatically open up.
When asked whether Imran Khan desires to leave the country, Aijaz-ul-Haq replied, “Perhaps even his wife cannot answer that question.”
