The Pakistani government has announced a significant increase in fees for fast-track passport applications.
The new fees, which will come into effect on May 8, will see the cost of a 72-page passport jump to Rs18,500 and a 100-page passport to Rs23,000.
In addition, machine-readable passports with a validity of 10 years will have the following fees:
36 pages: Rs16,200
72 pages: Rs25,200
100 pages: Rs32,000
This latest increase follows an earlier hike in fees for ordinary and urgent passports.
