The Open Innovation Team of the United Kingdom have opened its applications for the PhD placement programme 2025.
According to its website, the programme offers students the chance to work on real-world policy projects across a diverse range of areas, including health, justice, education, sustainability, energy, international development and AI.
The placements last for three months.
“For the first time this year, students will have the opportunity to work with the team’s new Evaluation Service, helping to assess the impact of government policies,” it said.
The students will gain valuable experience working on real-world policy projects and develop key skills and abilities by networking with professionals in the policy field.

The application deadline is June 14, 2024 and placement will begin in January 2025.
For information sessions, candidates can contact them on May 15 between 1 to 2 pm and May 31 between 2 to 3 pm.

This programme has catered to over 150 students who have completed placements since 2016.
Many students have gotten work in professional policy roles, having developed key skills and abilities on the placement.
