Karachi’s Madhubala ready to be moved to new home

Karachi Zoo’s administration has finalised preparations to move the elephant Madhubala to the Safari Park and the process should be completed soon.

Four Paws has set up a sanctuary for the elephant in the Safari Park which will become her new home.

A container has been placed inside Madhubala’s enclosure in the zoo in order to train her.

The administration said that Madhubala enters and exits the container three to four times a day.

KMC officials say that the sanctuary of Madhu Bala in the Safari Park is being developed with the support of Four Paws.

KMC officials say that Madhu Bala will be shifted to the Safari Park in the next month.

It should be noted that after the death of Noor Jahan elephant in Karachi Zoo in April last year, Madhu Bala elephant was left alone, after which Four Paws experts and KMC management decided to transfer Madhu Bala to Safari Park. Malaika and Sonia are already present in the Safari Park.

The management says that the number of elephants will increase to 3 after Madhubala is shifted to Safari Park.
