The Undertaker reveals desire for WrestleMania match against 6-time WWE Champion

In a recent revelation, wrestling icon The Undertaker has disclosed his long-standing desire to have a WrestleMania match against renowned WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Phenom expressed his disappointment at never getting the chance to face Austin at the grandest stage of them all.

He is known for his unparalleled WrestleMania record, with 25 wins and only two losses, The Undertaker had faced numerous legends in the wrestling industry at the prestigious event. However, there were a few notable names that The Deadman never had the opportunity to confront under the WrestleMania spotlight.

Among those names was the six-time WWE Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin, with whom The Undertaker had shared the ring on multiple occasions but never at WrestleMania. Speaking during a Q&A session on his podcast Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway, The Undertaker expressed his regret at not being able to face The Texas Rattlesnake at the grandest stage of them all.

“If I had to choose, it would have to be Stone Cold. That’s really one of the only guys I didn’t get to work with at Mania. That would have been huge. The streak may have gotten broken earlier, but still, it would have been nice to work with Steve at Mania,” The Undertaker revealed.

The Undertaker’s streak at WrestleMania remains one of the most discussed and debated aspects of his career. The infamous end to his streak came at WrestleMania 30 when Brock Lesnar defeated him, shocking the WWE Universe. Reflecting on the matter, The Deadman speculated that if Stone Cold Steve Austin had been the one to break his streak, it would have generated a similarly polarizing response from fans and critics alike.

“Steve was over at a level… That was just a whole another level that he was over at. It would probably be, just like anything else, half the people would love it, half the people would hate it. That’s how it is. Everybody has an opinion, but that’s the guy that I would have liked to work with at Mania that I never got a chance to,” The Undertaker added.

Given that both The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin have retired from in-ring competition, the dream match between the two legendary figures remains a fantasy for wrestling enthusiasts.

As fans continue to reflect on the legacy of The Undertaker and his remarkable WrestleMania streak, the desire for dream matchups and what-ifs will persist. Wrestling aficionados will forever wonder how a clash between The Deadman and The Texas Rattlesnake on the grandest stage of them all would have unfolded and how it might have impacted the fate of The Undertaker’s historic streak.
