Saudi Arabia Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud has stressed the need for emphasising on exploring multiple avenues for continued reinforcement of bilateral ties, the military’s media wing said.
He said this during a meeting with Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations. The Saudi foreign minister, accompanied by a delegation, had called on the army chief in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
A 100-member delegation led by the Saudi foreign minister landed in Pakistan on Monday.
At a joint press conference with Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Prince Farhan said that he was “confident” that his Pakistan visit would deliver “significant benefits” for the two countries in the upcoming months by realising the potential of untapped economic development.
Discussions centered on mutual interests and policies to further bolster bilateral cooperation across various sectors, the ISPR said.
He underscored the enduring and strategic nature of the relationship between the two nations.
In response, the army chief conveyed appreciation for the delegation’s visit, affirming the traditional bond of fraternity between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He underscored the reverence and affection that the people of Pakistan hold for their Saudi brethren.
