Another man was shot dead by robbers at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Chowrangi in the Karachi while resisting them on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
The deceased has been identified as Turab Zaidi. He was father of three children, his father Nisar Hussain Zaidi told Aaj News.
Turab had left an ATM with case and he was accompanied by a friend. The friend handed over his belongings to the robbers who shot dead Turab for resisting, said Nisar Hussain Zaidi.
Law enforcement officials stated that further investigation is being conducted to uncover more details about the incident.
Four other victims sustained injuries in separate robbery attempts in different parts of Karachi, including Shah Latif Town, Nazimabad, and Korangi.
Recently, Chief Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi of the Sindh High Court (SHC) issued orders to restore law and order in the province. He also instructed authorities to take strict action against influential individuals involved in sabotaging law and order.
Karachi has been grappling with incidents of street crime, which have claimed the lives of at least 59 people, with over 200 people injured while resisting.
According to Geo reports, over 6,780 crimes were committed during the holy month of Ramadan.
