During an iftar dinner in Makkah, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, on Sunday in Makkah.
Shehbaz Sharif conveyed good wishes and prayers for the Saudi Crown Prince’s health and well-being.
The Prime Minister attended the dinner, hosted by Bin Salman in the honour of Pakistani premier, with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
The Prime Minister’s Office released a statement stating that Maryam Nawaz was invited to dinner by the crown prince.
During the meeting, both leaders conversed about bilateral relations and mutual issues among both countries.
Pak-Saudi trade and investment issues were also highlighted by the leaders.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also met the Emir of Bahrain, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in Makkah.
The Bahraini Crown Prince congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz on becoming the head of government.
The Bahraini emir and Prime Minister Shehbaz discussed mutual relations between the two countries.
Shehbaz was accompanied by federal ministers including Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Abdul Aleem Khan, Attaullah Tarar, and Ahad Khan Cheema.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was on a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia, where he also performed Umrah.
He was received by the Saudi ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf Bin Saeed Al-Malkiy, with high-level officials at the Makkah railway station.
The trip was from April 6 to 8 to reflect on diplomatic engagement by both countries.
The leadership of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia highlights their commitment to boosting financial ties and stimulating economic and investment relations.
