Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shaheen Shah Afridi on Saturday quit the Pakistan Army fitness camp being held in Kakul for Pakistani cricketers and left for Peshawar.
The camp is scheduled to end on April 8 before the Eidul Fitr holidays begin. But Afridi left two days earlier.
On Friday he posted a cryptic message to his Instagram saying, “Never ever put me in a position, where I have to show you how cruel and ruthless I can be.”
However, Pakistan Cricket Board sources told journalists that Afridi had left the camp with permission to depart for Peshawar.
The sources said that he had to deal with an ‘emergency.’
They also added that Shaheen Shah Afridi will return to Rawalpindi on April 7 to join other teammates at a dinner hosted by Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir.
