An air hostess working for the Pakistan International Airlines was arrested in Toronoto after prohibited items were found in her possession.
The hostess has been indentifed as Hina Sani, and was arrested after multiple passports belonging to unrelated individuals were found in her baggage.
Sources said that the hostess has already received a warning in the past for carrying prohibited items.
Sani reached Toronoto on PIA flight PK-789.
A spokesperson for the PIA has confirmed the incident, adding that they were in touch with Canadian authorities.
This is not the first controversy involving the national flag carrier’s operations in Canada this year.
Earlier in 2024, multiple PIA cabin crew members had ‘slipped away’ after reaching Canada on a flight.
