The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has reduced the delivery time for CNIC without imposing any additional fee on urgent requests.
The delivery period has been shortened from 23 to 15 days.
NADRA has introduced new facilities for people tired of standing in queues.
The institution has announced new charges for different CNIC services that include charging Rs 750 for normal CNIC and Rs 1500 for urgent CNIC.
The new fee for an executive card will be Rs 2500.
The Authority made the announcement on its X account as well.
Every citizen of Pakistan above 18 years of age is entitled to receive a national identity card, which is a prerequisite for legal and financial services in the country.
