Indian actor Vivian Dsena has revealed that he has already embaraced Islam and has been fasting for multiple years.
In a recent interview, Dsena opened up about his life after embracing Islam last year during Ramadan.
He disclosed that he has been observing fasts for the whole month of Ramadan.
“I have embraced Islam in Ramadan, this fact itself makes Ramadan very close to my heart,” the actor said.
“This year marks my sixth Ramadan and by God’s grace, I have been fasting every year. Fasting the entire month of Ramadan is mandatory for us as it’s one of the main five pillars of Islam, so I do observe the 30 days of course, unless there is an excuse,” he said.
He shared that he fasts every year with shedding light on Ramadan and its significance.
He showed commitment towards fasting as he does not break fast unless a genuine reason interrupts it like illness.
Dsena expressed his worry about fasting; however, he said he was thankful to God who has helped him with fasting throughout Ramadan as water and coffee are his needs.
The actor mentioned that he tries to spend the month in Bahrain with his family and enjoy Iftar (Ramadan evening meal) dishes.
“I love all kinds of food, especially the homecooked food & sweets. Thank god I am blessed with a family and a wife who makes every day of Ramadan a food festival, so I get to taste and experience many different dishes. If I have to choose one it would be the Basbousa and Kunafa,” he said.
Vivian Dsena is married to former Egyptian journalist, Nouran Aly and has a a year-old daughter.
Dsena is an Indian actor who has made a name in the Indian television industry after making his acting debut with ‘Kasamh Se’ in 2008.
