Warrant issued for dozen PTI leaders, including KP CM Gandapur

An anti-terrorism court has issued warrants for 12 PTI leaders, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in cases related to May 9 events as the party chairman describes such cases as “fake”.

While hearing the case on Tuesday, ATC judge Malik Ijaz ordered officials to present two suspects before it on April 2.

Shahbaz Gill, Musarrat Jamshed Cheema, Murad Saeed, Shabbir Awan, Shireen Mazari, and Shibli Faraz are also among a dozen leaders.

One of the cases against the above mentioned leaders is registered at the City Police Station. Warrants were issued on the application of SHO Aftab Ahmed.

In reaction to the development, PTI Chairman Gohar Khan said that the party holds the right to challenge the decision and described all such cases as “fake”.

He was of the view that the federal government had “lost its senses” and resorted to retaliatory action and alleged that the incumbent rulers had seized power by stealing the people’s mandate.
