Indian legendry actor Amitabh Bachchan was reportedly admitted to the hospital in Mumbai city of India where he underwent an angioplasty on his leg, Time of India reported on Friday.
The 81-year-old actor was moved to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital in the early hours of Friday.
Meanwhile, neither the Bachchan family nor the hospital has released a statement yet.
Bachchan had shared a post on X, formerly Twitter, writing “In gratitude ever…” at around 12pm on Friday.
Fans and well-wishers have since been posting ‘get well soon’ wishes.
Bachchan had faced minor health issues along with injuries throughout his career. Earlier this year, he underwent a surgery for his wrist.
In 2020, he was also hospitalised for almost a month as he battled Covid-19.
Bachchan will star next in Nag Ashwin’s epic science-fiction dystopian film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’.
The movie, scheduled to release on May 9, also stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani in key roles.
