Nawaz Sharif’s sons, Hassan and Hussain, landed in Pakistan on Tuesday night after their warrants were suspended by an accountability court in Lahore.
According to media reports, Nawaz himself received his sons upon thier arrival in Jati Umra.
The brothers had been in self-imposed exile since being implicated in multiple corruption cases by the National Accountability Bureau in 2017.
They remained outside Pakistan after which they were declared absconders.
Nawaz, who was implicated in the same cases, was given relief by the courts upon arrival in the country last October, clearing the way for his sons to reutrn as well.
Their lawyer had recently asked for warrants to be suspended as they were planning to return on March 12. The court had therefore suspended their warrants till March 14, summoning them again.
