Advocate General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amir Javed was among the nine officials who tendered their resignations days after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Ali Amin Gandapur took oath as the chief minister of the province, sources said on Tuesday.
Apart from Javed, as many as eight additional advocates have also tendered their resignation from posts, they added.
According to sources, all nine officials have sent their resignation letters to the newly-elected chief minister of KP, who is yet to make a decision.
The officials, who submitted their resignations, include Danial Khan Chamkani, Nisar, Saqib, Asif, Umar Farooq, Sultan, Mubashir and Javed Akhtar.
Gandapur took the oath as the KP chief minister in a ceremony held in Peshawar on March 2.
He contested the election for the National and Provincial Assembly as independent and also the election for the coveted slot of the KP.
