Mukesh Ambani reportedly paid Rihanna $6m to perform at son’s pre-wedding party

Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani has reportedly paid Hollywood singer Rihanna a whopping $6 million (PKR 1.67 billion) to perform a private concert for guests for the pre-wedding party for his son Anant, Daily Mail reported.

Rihanna arrived in Jamnagar city of India for the pre-wedding party to perform at the celebrations, it added.

Ambani is the owner of the Reliance group and has a reported net worth of $114 billion.

The guests include billionaires Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Gautam Adani and Kumar Mangalam Birla.

Bollywood stars including Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Amitabh Bachan and Indian cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni are also expected to jet in for the three-day occasion hosted by billionaire tycoon Mukesh Ambani this weekend.

Reports said that the extravaganza will cost a staggering £120million, out of which the catering contract alone is rumoured to be around $25 million.

Ambani’s son Anant is set to tie the knot with longtime girlfriend Radhika Merchant in Mumbai. Daily Mail, while quoting family sources, said that figure will significantly increase with millions more in July.

Rihanna, 36, and her partner A$AP Rocky arrived in India on February 29 to perform a private concert for the Ambani family’s guests.

Apart from Rihanna, magician David Blaine will also perform at the wedding, along with Indian superstar Diljit Dosanjh.

It is pertinent to mention that Ambani had arranged a lavish wedding for his daughter Isha in 2018 that was said to cost $100 million dollars featuring a performance from Beyonce. Called a ‘mini-Davos’, the guest list had included Hilary Clinton and John Kerry as well.
