Pakistan’s Meteorological Department has forecast strong winds and rain with thunderstorms on Thursday and Friday (February 29 and March 1) across Sindh including Karachi.
Karachi will receive rain on Friday, March 1.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz says there will be moderate and heavy rains in Karachi on March 1 for the whole day and till late night.
Temperatures in the city are expected to drop in the three to four days from March 1.
Karachi braced strong winds at the speed of 40km per hour earlier this week. The Siberian winds caused the minimum temperatures to drop to 16 degrees Celsius.
The Met has also forecast heavy rain in most parts of the country during the next two days.
Some areas of the country will likely receive hailstorms.
Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan has already received heavy rain with many parts in the coast city of Gwadar becoming inundated.
