Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi gifted team captain Babar Azam the first locally assembled MG HS Essence after he smashed a historic knock in the PSL 9 game against Islamabad United.
The Zalmi skipper smashed boundaries all around the park in yesterday’s game against Islamabad United. He scored an unbeaten 111 off 63 with the help of 14 fours and two sixes.
Azam scored the inning with an impressive strike rate of 176.19 as he helped Zalmi put a total of 201.
United fell short eight runs as spinner Arif Yaqoob dismantled the Shadab Khan-led batting unit by taking four wickets in the 19th over.
He ended up with five for 27 in his four overs. However, Azam was adjudged the player of the match for his match-winning ton.
According to PakWheels, the Zalmi captain loves cars and has owned several expensive and luxury vehicles.
Among the luxury cars, Audi A5 is believed to be his favourite car while he has also owned BJ40 Plus which he also won in a series between Pakistan and Australia.
He also owned a Hyundai Sonata, in which he was seen during a ceremony of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
