The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasted rain or drizzle with wind-thunderstorm in Jamshoro, Karachi, Dadu, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, Khairpur and Larkana on Monday (today).
“Cloudy weather is expected in most districts of the province while,” the Met Office said in its forecast for the day.
The temperature in Sindh’s metropolitan city is likely to hover between 15 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius. But the weather on Tuesday and Wednesday is expected to be dry.
The change in Karachi was apparently due to a westerly wave which was likely to enter Balochistan on Sunday night and may grip the upper parts of the country on Monday.
The PMD warned that snowfall might disrupt and cause the closure of roads in north Balochistan and heavy rain might cause flash flooding in local nullahs/streams in Balochistan particularly in Gwadar, Ketch, Panjgur and Awaran districts on 26th February.
It might also disrupt roads in Murree, Galiyat, Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Shangla, Astore, Hunza, Skardu, Neelum Valley, Bagh, Poonch and Haveli on Monday and Wednesday.
