An innings of 88 runs from 55 balls by Saim Ayub helped Peshawar Zalmi post 211 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs against Lahore Qalandars on Sunday. In response, Lahore Qalandars could only manage 203 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
Babar Azam made 48 runs while Rovman Powell made 46 to help Zalmi post the mammoth total.
For Lahore, captain Shaheen Afridi took 3 wickets for 33 runs in his four overs.
In reply, Rassie van der Dussen scored 104 runs of 52 balls but in vain. Naveen ul Haq took 2 wickets for 50 runs in four overs.
Needing 18 off the last overs, Qalandars could only manage 9 runs.
Lahore Qalandars entered the match looking to break their losing streak and get their first win of the tournament. The defending champions have lost all of their four games during the ongoing edition of the showpiece event.
Meanwhile, Zalmi had won one out of their three games when they overcame Multan Sultans on February 23.
Multan Sultans sit at the top of the table with eight points, followed by Quetta Gladiators having six points.
